Hey, I just watched one like this last night on the Movies! channel, a noir titled 'The Big Punch'. Complete optimist pastor Wayne Morris and a cynical Lois Maxwell (yeah, that's right, later to become Miss Moneypenny in those Bond flicks) were the principles in this one.
