Hi,

Yes Joe, I can now see that it is Sid Field...

But, it could also be mistaken for Jack Haley, George Jessel or Frank McHugh - I wonder if they were really quadruplets!!

Pals Elizabeth Taylor & Montgomery Clift hanging around the studio lot

They made such a handsome, beautiful couple. Physically I mean, they were made for each other. Liz reached the epitome of her beauty in 1951 and she looked jaw-droppingly gorgeous in "A Place in the Sun" and I have to admit that Montgomery Clift was very good looking. They surely look like a match made in heaven. What a great candid Mongo. If I may, I'm going to put in my desktop.

That's a great laughing face from John Wayne, as if he's about ready to REALLY explode.

Marvin Kaplan - another favorite. He and the recently deceased Arnold Stang were a favorite part of the MAD MAD WORLD scene at the desert service station.

In the credits of that film, I see they list BOB HOPE as a "passerby in a car". I have never seen him in there. I gotta watch more closely one of these next 100 times I see it.

I didn't realize Bob Mazurki - the little boy who irritated Phil Silvers as he showed him how to 'drive out' of the wilderness canyon into the river - was actually the son of Mike Mazurki, too. Logical choice. "Let's get Dad, and see if his son is the perfect age, too." Little Bob is just about perfect in his role, too. He skips across those rocks as Phil Silver's car starts floating away. I understand he almost drowned because he couldn't get out of the car after it was submerged. He was flowing with the river, and it was such a fast current that he couldn't pull himself out and up, against the current pushing him into the car deeper and deeper.

Estelle Winwood is another great face that deserved all of her 102 years of life. She had such a great little character in THE PRODUCERS with Zero Mostel as one of his financier "sweethearts". And with Kim Novak and Jack Lemmon in THE NOTORIOUS LANDLADY. One of her first works was the 1937 version of QUALITY STREET with Katharine Hepburn. And she was on TV from its beginnings.

How did I manage to miss that lovely picture of Montgomery Clift, he has to be one of the most handsome actors ever to grace the screen, sigh.
