*CANDIDS*
Re: *CANDIDS*
I confess . .
I adore Louise Beavers, and my feelings for her are reinforced by every line she speaks, and every "M'hmm!" look she casts!

I am loving that white sundress with the print bodice and hem. Where can I get one?
Apparently, the wolfman was drawn to it as well.
Notice the ladies' shoes. Very similar to what's on sale these days. I wonder if the fact that every pair appears to be suede means they are from Wardrobe, and not the ladies' own.

I suspect his partner might have dabbed a little Kal-Kan behind her ears.jdb1 wrote:Apparently, the wolfman was drawn to it as well.

Vintage dresses are so in now, especially the 50s style, they say due to the popularity of tvs Madmen. A few years ago, these were $5 at all the Goodwill stores, now they're all on EBAY for a mere hundred bucks.
Re: *CANDIDS*
Klondike, I was thinking the same thing. I'd opt for "Raintree County" considering the boots that Clift is wearing.

Re: *CANDIDS*
But because of Liz's appearance and hairdo I'd say It's "A Place in the Sun"...Liz looks slimmer and younger, so does Monty...

I have that picture in a book called The films of Montgomery Clift, it doesn't specify which film but is with the text for A Place in the Sun judging from Liz's hair I agree.

Cast my vote for Place in the Sun. The sequence at Lake Tahoe where George is chasing Angela and carries her to the lake to toss her in the water. He's wearing riding breeches and boots in that scene.klondike wrote:Joe, is this during A Place in the Sun, or early on for Raintree County?

Raul Julia! God look how young he is! I loved him.
I think it's terribly irritating that Liz looked so good in rolled up jeans, cowboy boots and a big overcoat. It looks like Place in the Sun to me too.

Fernando, congratulations. It looks like you chose the correct movie with "A Place in the Sun".
