Joss Ackland (1928-2023) has died. I first saw him on stage, as Mitch in a London production of
A Streetcar Named Desire, with Claire Bloom as Blanche. A few years later, I saw him as Peron in the original London production of
Evita. He was a great actor.
His films include
White Mischief, A Zed and Two Naughts, and
The Hunt for Red October.

Maybe I shouldn't be morbid, but who do you think will get the last spot of honoe in the TCM Remembers montage next month? Will it be Alan Arkin, Raquel Welch, Stella Stevens, Piper Laurie, Glenda Jackson, Melinda Dillon, Gina Lollobrigida, Harry Belafonte or will is be influential producer Walter Mirish?

At this point in time and considering we have a little over an additional month left in this year for more notables to pass on, I'd say the "finale" of this thing would most likely feature Harry Belafonte.

101 is amazing
I watched an interview with Norman Lear a few months back
He gave a great interview , he was mentally sharp , looked very old but had all his marbles. A very talented and brilliant man.
Condolences to his family and friends.
