Change of Plans


I will be sharing 30-36 photographs from Tuesday AM to Thursday PM ... and use Fridays to Mondays to spend time looking for a brand new PC that will be compatible for this site alone. I spent 1 hour today preparing for next week mounting that will begin on Tuesday AM and most of them you haven't seen them and haven't seen them for a long time. So, on Fridays - I will take a hour to prepare for next week mounting and give all of you Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and Mondays to play catch up to see what I mounted from Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays. All pictures will be posted by ATTACHMENT METHOD ...


So, I will start on next Tuesday - and I'm counting on these pictures will entertain you dearly!

First Nightgown Photograph


Picture was taken in 1936 when she was around 17 and/or 18 at the time of this photograph was taken. One of the first nightgown photograph ever taken of her. I think that her mother, Volga was the one that took the picture here. I'm speculating on that.

If you look at enough vintage advertisements, sooner or later it is going to occur to a person that Royal Crown Cola must have plowed half of their profits into endorsement deals with movie stars, though not all were of the caliber of Ms. Hayworth or Ms. Grable.

Do a search on ebay sometime if you don't believe me! I just saw RC ads with Bing Crosby, Shelley Winters, Alexis Smith, Lynn Bari, Veronica Lake, Lucille Ball, Diana Lynn, Betty Hutton, Susanna Foster, Paulette Goddard, Virginia Mayo, Claudette Colbert, Joan Crawford (did Pepsi ever find out?), Mary Martin, Sonja Henie, Lizabeth Scott, Jeanne Crain and Loretta Young--whew!--and that was only a quick glance.
