MISSED BIRTHDAY WISHES

Post by mrsl »

.
Due to the fact that I am and will be eternally delayed in my responses on General Chat, I often miss birthdays, especially on weekends. Apparently the delays are not monitored very closely on weekends (people are usually pretty busy and don't have time), so a birthday on Friday could easily be greeted by me on Monday or Tuesday, which makes me look and feel kind of dumb, especially when everyone is usually so nice on my birthday. Therefore this is a general wish for all since I rarely tune in to the General Chat thread:

* * * * * * * * * * HAPPY BIRTHDAY * * * * * * * * * *

.I feel terrible that I missed Allisons and hope her day was everything she would want it to be.
.
Anne

Thank you everyone. We had a lovely holiday and arrived back late night on Saturday, yesterday was fine, the first fine day for ages, so I plunged into the laundry in between family and friends calling, topped off by a birthday dinner cooked by my father and a lovely hand decorated cake from him, I was very touched.

Tuscany was gorgeous, I managed to see so much courtesy of the doctor giving me a two week course of steroids to give me the strength to see all the lovely sights. Florence, Siena, Pisa, Assisi, Cortona, Lucca, San Gimignano and many more. Lots of extra virgin olive oil and pasta. The kids were a delight, you should have clocked their faces when they saw the Leaning Tower and then again when they saw the mummified saint in the glass casket, they couldn't belive their eyes. Then when they saw the David in Florence, how funny they found the fact that his willy was on show. 'Don't point' we don't want to look uncouth I thought, not they just took pictures of it because they thought it was so rude. Yes, we had a lovely time, so many good memories.

trust children to be totally forthright and disarmingly honest!!!! Everyone else were probably sneaking peeks, rather that just saying Oh, Look!!!! :shock: :shock:

I have GOT to meet Joe and Libby before they outgrow this wonderful age....I'm sure they will have something extra funny to say about me!!!!!!

welcome home, hope you are still feeling ok!!!
