My mom-in-law positively swoons over Brian Keith - seems he bears a striking resemblence to her hubby George, Deb's stepfather; and as he is 100% paisan, it makes me wonder if maybe BK had a little trickle of Sicilian blood his own self!

Magnificent image of Gloria Swanson in the midst of the ruins of the Roxy Theater in New York City in 1960. A Swanson movie premiered at the grand opening of the Roxy in 1927.

Ida Lupino and Humphrey Bogart in a publicity still from 'They Drive by Night" although the scene does not appear in the film.

WOW what a great shot!!! The two look stunning and the picture is kind of dreamy...those were the days of the great photographers and artisans!
Re: *CANDIDS*
Here's what I always thought was peculiar about Ida & Bogey's roles in They Drive By Night (which has to be one of our most underappreciated proto-noirs): within a year or two, they were presented therein as being peers of one another - but just 1 year later, there they both are in High Sierra, depicted as being at least 10, 12 years apart in age!
