Sally Field, is she related to WC? Her breath is sure better, and she smells like roses. She might have chopped off the “s” to throw people off track.

Nope Thompson. Sally isn't or wasn't related to William Claude Dukenfield (W.C.'s real name). She also, as far as I know, isn't or wasn't related to Ebbets Field (the now demolished home ballpark of the old Brooklyn Dodgers before they moved to Los Angeles), nor, and once again as far as I know, has any relation to or affiliation with the magazine titled "Field & Stream".
However, her mother WAS actress Margaret Field, anyway.
OH and btw, after seeing Sally recently on TV plugging her latest flick "80 for Brady", it dawned on me that I think she's cuter now at age 76 than she's ever been. Strange, ain't it?!
(...and so now, what's your "next" here, ol' buddy?...you didn't offer one up, ya know)

Excuse the sidebar here, I am so frustrated. I watched a film recently and had this same idea. The lead was a character actor and I thought he ought do more leads. I cannot remember. I am in agony. Don't get old, folks.
I repeat the current clue by norfious for convenience :
A character actor you think should have had more starring roles.
