Aw thanks for posting…

Very sad to hear he’s gone but he led a great life and thankfully left a bounty of work. He seems like a sweet sincere guy and I’m glad he felt truly appreciated, even lauded in his later years after decades of ridicule. Sure, he made some terrible movies, but they tell a lot about our culture-what entertained us, how we looked, talked, etc. And mostly Corman films show cleverness, how budgets could be stretched but still tell a succinct, emotional story.

I like Corman and enjoy his films for the most part. I consider them the typical Drive-In movie of my childhood/teen years, so have a certain nostalgia for them. Rest In Peace

Wow. I hadn't heard of Corman's death (or Damon's either) What a long life! I didn't realize he was that old.

Dabney Coleman, such a good actor and funny guy. I've always enjoyed his performances so much. His bad guy performances are the ones I've enjoyed best. 9 to 5, Tootsie, tv show Buffalo Bill, etc. Great career. Thanks for all the many hours of great entertainment.

RIP
Dabney Coleman

The sweetie and I love 9 TO 5 and TOOTSIE.

Dabney Coleman adds so much to both movies.

Dabney Coleman was excellent in On Golden Pond.
He was a bad guy in an episode of Columbo.
He made bad good.
I hope TCM can do a modest tribute, at least half a day.
Funny how I've seen nothing on TV news.

Fred Roos, longtime producer of the films of Francis Ford Coppola. Age 89.

https://deadline.com/2024/05/fred-roos- ... 235925291/

His last credit is Coppola's new film Megalopolis, which appears to be a jinxed production given that Coppola's wife Eleanor died recently and the film itself is garnering comparisons to such infamous films as Caligula and Showgirls.

Loved Dabney Coleman in everything I'd seen him in. Didn't really come into his own until his later years. I preferred him w/stache! Was Dabney his real name? Who would pick that for their stage name?

Yes, that was his real name. I'll remember him most for 9 to 5 and Tootsie, but he was memorable whenever he popped up.
