Is this a staged funny photo for the cameras or knowing Shelley is it another scrape she got herself into?

Alison, I believe that Shelley was at the station to bail out the intoxicated Tony (bad boy).

It looks like Tony is wearing handcuffs. Maybe just an ID bracelet? Those were quite fashionable at the time.

Shelley had to keep her hubby in check. I've only read the first volume of her biography so am acquainted with her marriage to Vittorio Gassman but not her second marriage to Anthony Franciosa. Thanks for filling in the blanks.
