But what about Pamela Tiffin :smiley_heartbounce: , she was in it. Who could ask for more?

Question : How does one use that row o icon's at the top of the Post A Reply page? I was messing with them but with no success. Thanks.
Yeah, I suppose there's no denyin' that Pamela was a stone fox, alright! (when's the last time you ever saw or heard THAT descriptive phrase, I wonder?) ;)

I dunno, I guess my reason for how I've always felt about that film might be best summed up as follows:

It tries a little too hard to be clever, and perhaps personified by Cagney's rapid-fire line delivery which comes across to me as being forced and unnatural.

(...and re the emoji placement...sorry, but I don't understand why you can't place that baby anywhere ya want to?)

Thanks, but I am not referring something singular ("that"). I'm also not referring the mass of emojil's on the side and suceeding pages. The ones at the top. All the way right is "NONE." There are icons horizontally placed and each on has a blank round shape that you click on and se a dot placed in the circle. Do you see where I mean? I'm surprised I have never noticed them before. Are they new? Will you put one in a post so I can see it? Thanks!

Oh, I think I see what you mean now. That row of them along the top with the heading to the left that says "Post icon:", right?

If this is what you mean, then I'm sorry but I've never used that function.

(...I'm sure Lomm could explain this to ya, though)

I hate to tell you, lest it becomes crazy over-used, cartoon-land....

(They are icons for thread titles for those demanding speshel attention)

Masha posted her garden a month or so ago. One of my bucket plants is 5 feet-as tall as me. The other in the foreground is kind of fat & squatty. It got knocked over in a thunderstorm.

I bonsai Rose Of Sharons, the one against the fence is almost at the end of it's 25 year lifespan. They are short lived trees which is why they are so prolific.

And wasn't that the movie that prompted Cagney to retire ... at least for a while?

I think you're right about that! Then Jimmy returned in 1980 for RAGTIME. (joining his old pal Pat O'Brien)

lafitte and Dargo, I thank you guys very much for wanting to see my review of ONE, TWO, THREE but I never wrote one! Trust me on this. My memory might be faulty in some things but you must believe me here. I would love to know the author!

I was you, I'm sure of it! Let me see if I can refresh your memory. It was as if you had just seen the film and were totally excited about it. Not that you were crazy about it, more about having had picked up the satire on Cold War and delighted the way it was done. It was ebullient and brilliant. Vintage Bronxgirl, to be sure. It was a capsule review and it therefore short but full of energy. I would bet a fortune on you having written (if I had a fortune ) Do you have any recollection at all? Is there a pop song entitled "It was you!" If not, we should compose one now!!!!!!!

Sorry laffite, but yeah, that title has already been used a number of times in the past and all with different lyrics and tunes:

(...but hey, what would be wrong with one more, right?!...but I'd think now writing one about Bronxie's possible forgetfulness might be a tricky subject to broach here, wouldn't ya think?!) ;)

Yes, Cagney had trouble remembering the rapid fire dialog and felt it was a sign it was time to retire. He continued to be offered parts in films (including Doolittle in My Fair Lady) but declined until Ragtime.

Maybe we can tell her a new version of "Unforgettable" is being composed. That should fool her for a few minutes.

Thanks for the TUNE-up..

Too bad Nat King Cole isn't still around to do a test demo for us here, ain't it.

(...he could make ANY song sound great, ya know)

Then must I forlorn be and consult that Titaness, the Godess of Memory, Mnemosyne. Maybe she can do something about my wrecked memory cells. If not, then that nasty God of the Underworld, Lethe, The God of Memory Loss, and of Oblivion. I have heard he is quite depressing. It looks I will get no satisfaction as the song goes. Okay, Lady of Bronx, you have spoken and I must but yield. Certainty ls the province unto those who are most likely to know. I was so sure, wah. I'm glad I don't have a fortune for I would have surely lost it.

(,,,to dispel any notion of pedantry, I confess to having taken a single class in Greek Mythology, these many a years ago, a class where it was requisite to memorize just about every myth that ever was. And memorize did I!!! I was a virtual walking encyclopedia of all things Greek. Now I can hardly remember anything. Another betrayal by that traitor on high. I suspect she relishes raiding unfortunates and ridding them of their most precious memories. But oh, she does have the most beautiful name I

nem-OZ-eh-nee

Georgous!

No doubt it will be noticed that I invoked above the famous Dargo Ending Parenthesis mode of expression. I only emulate the best.

We must seek out that mysterious ONE, TWO, THREE review! The gods (including Larry Olivier as Zeus) will be furious otherwise!
