Ogles? Strictly an amateur. I've won two Nobel Prizes. What has he done?

Regarding Richard Belzer, his bit as a black prostitute in The Groove Tube cracked me up and has remained permanently deposited in my memory banks.

"I'm gonna give him a quick lick and make it stick!"

"Oooooh, you nice 'n white, that's all right!"

"There ain't nobody behind me but my sweet hot chocolate buns! Betcha like to butter them buns, huh, Faggot?"

"We gonna fuss 'n fight, it's gonna be all right!"

I hadn't heard about Stella Stevens. I'd heard she'd had Alz. so am sure her death is a blessing to her family. Sadly, she never broke out of the 60's sex kitten roles they stuck her in. She had talent.

She was so good in 1970's The Ballad of Cable Hogue, and had the movie been a box office success, it could have put her in a new different level of films....

But she even had enough skill that she excelled even in a flimsy little sex piece like The Silencers.

Stella Stevens gave a fun performance as Appassionata von Climax in Li'l Abner (1959):

Yes. It's too bad the film flopped.

Li'l Abner. A comic strip that could not be published in today's "more enlightened" times.

I thought Stella Stevens gave her best performance as former heroin addict in Synanon (1965)

I just found out after visiting his studio museum, a young Frank Frazetta drew Lil Abner for years! (Didn't know Stella Stevens had died)

I have learned now that: Chris Browne passed away on: February 5, 2023.

His link to films is a television movie: Hägar the Horrible: Hägar Knows Best (1989).

He was a cartoonist who continued: Hägar the Horrible after his father passed away. He worked for a time also on: Hi and Lois.

His work was all quite wonderful and I fear for what might become of the comic strip now.
