How Nice!

Post by mrsl »

This title may sound funny, but I couldn't think of any other way to put it. I've seen actors and actresses, singers and dancers, sports figures, and even animals honored, but this was a new one on me - a strictly commercial personality. A little while ago, a memoriam came on regarding Mr Dick Wilson, better known as Mr. Whipple of "Don't squeeze the Charmin" fame. Maybe I've become too hardened or jaded but for some reason, this hit me in just the right way. It was only a memoriam, no attempt at a sell, or promo. Simply a testament to 25 years of well appreciated service - 1917 - 2007.

Rest in Peace, Mr. Whipple!

Anne

Anne, I agree with you. I saw the spot a couple of times this week and thought the same as you. Nice going Charmin!
