it was said of Ginger Rogers that, in the 40s, she said she didn't want to play mother to grown up kids. if true it seems strange, because any actress, who were still relatively young, that went down that road actually enhanced their careers

Two more are Lana Turner and Susan Hayward. The best of all though was gorgeous Sophia Loren who always seemed to have one or two kids hanging around her whether they were hers or nieces or nephews.
