Can you spot any of those famous artists from this band in the movie The Last Of The Blonde Bombshells? One is a famous actor and at least one is a Hollywood musical star

That's Cleo Laine singing, as only she can. Judi Dench on sax; Leslie Caron on bass; looks like Ian Holm under that wig; Olympia Dukakis playin' brass. Not sure I know the trombone player. One of them looks like Celeste Holm. Can it be?

She looked like Mae Questel sometimes, but I assumed this was shot after Questel's demise. Knitty, where else might we have seen Joan Sim?

She was the wonderful "Madge Hardcastle" in As Time Goes By, and she was in 24 of the insane Carry On films of the 60's. (I dropped the "s" from her name, it should be Joan Sims)

Hi everyone, hope you enjoyed that.

One not mentioned was a another UK national treasure June Whitfield. She'll be known in America as Jennifer Saunders mother in Ab-Fab. She also did a couple of Carry-Ons, worked with Tony Hancock when she was younger and had a great on screen partner in Terry Scott in the likes of Terry And June

The one I'm surprised wasn't mention was Hollywood musical star Leslie Caron

Yes it's Ian Holm. He played the drummer, who had his wicked way with all the girls in WW2, save Judi Dench, as she was to young. However, she was his romantic interest in the modern section of the film

The film in question is a great movie, well worth the watch

Ah, but Stuart, Moraldo DID get Leslie Caron!

The movie looks like a lot of fun, I will watch for it.
