;) This just in, former TCM Young Film Composers Competition winner James Schafer newly scored version of Lon Chaney's THE MOCKERY (1927), directed by Benjamin Christiansen (Haxen), will premier July 5th on TCM's Silent Sunday Nights. That was just posted a few hours ago by the composer himself on the TCM forum. So another debut only a couple of months after Henry King's THE WHITE SISTER this coming May.

No word yet on BARDELYS THE MAGNIFICENT though. :( Rodney Sauer and The Mont Alto Motion Picture Orchestra started recording their new score a couple weeks ago. So We might get a TCM debut in July, but I wouldn't count on it. Looks like a late Summer DVD release from Flicker Alley at the very soonest? Don't know if the MONTE CRISTO score has been completed? Probably not? :? Unlike BARDELYS, I haven't heard who is providing the music for this film?

It's nice that this film is premiering, but I was not impressed by it when I saw it at Cinevent a couple of years ago.
