Clark and Greer in Adventure. Wish they'd broadcast this one, it's been so long since I last watched it.

That last one in the Carole section is just great. They look like they are so gone on each other....it's over, they're hooked. At the same time, they look like they are going to laugh at any minute...it's a real connection and it's lovely.
And for me, the last one in the section of three - tan jacket with white turtleneck - is ooh la la.....

Miss Goddess, I bet you are loving today's lineup! Wouldn't you know, I forgot to set the stupid machine. (Yes, I'm calling the machine stupid; let's not blame any superior humans here) for the everning line-up. Oh, well, I'll probably get home to see (if not save) most of Red Dust and maybe can watch Mogambo.
Hope you enjoyed the Gable-Smorgasboard!

It's lovely to log back on after an absence and see all these pics of Clark Gable, it warms the heart and other parts
Does anyone here know why Carole and Clark didn't click when they made
No Man of Her Own? Granted Clark was married to Ria at the time, that didn't stop him later. Was Carole still married to William Powell at this point?

Hi Birdy!
I wish I could have stayed home and enjoyed the whole day, all I really got to watch was Love on the Run
and Red Dust. But I am glad he got his day.

Hi CCfan! Yes, Carole was still married to Powell at the time of No Man of Her Own. I think they clicked as
friends, and who knows, may have already felt attracted to one another. But timing is everything, they say.
I may add that Gable had met Kay Spreckles years before she became his last wife.

Timing is everything, that certainly explains it.
In Kay I think he got someone who loved and understood him.

Clark was lucky with Kay, but I think he had the same thing with Carole. I believe she would have eventually given up her career to raise a family. They had that spark that would have stayed glowing for the rest of their lives if hers had not been cut short.
