Signing Statements
According to the NY Times President Obama has continued President Bushs' (#43) use of so called " signing statements ". When the President is signing a bill passed by Congress he declares at the time of the signing what provision(s )of the bill that the Executive Branch will enforce. IMHO this is the same as the line - item veto an authority that the President does not have and is clearly unconstitutional.
