Have y'all seen PBS' American Masters series? The episode entitled Judy Garland: By Myself is a wonderful telling of Gumm's life through her own words. Judy began taping her story in an effort to write her memoirs. This show plays the tape as she describes the day she was fired from the set of Annie Get Your Gun, she was informed while covered in war paint for the Indian number. Check it out, if you can. It's well worth it.
And congratulations Anne on your great musical deal!

Yes, that's a very good documentary. It's available on DVD, in the two-DVD set for Easter Parade it's on the second disc.

OMG, you're right! When I was writing about it, I was wishing I could watch that scene again as reference; completely forgetting that it's sitting on shelf a few feet away... Thanks!Professional Tourist wrote:Yes, that's a very good documentary. It's available on DVD, in the two-DVD set for Easter Parade it's on the second disc.
