Klondike:

I hope you've donned your kilt and blouse and plan to celebrate in a grand style.

Happy Birthday, Sir.

Happy Birthday Mr. K. , wherever you are.

It seems to me that the memo on my overflowing desk over at the Classic Cinema College says he's on a bit of a sabbatical. I like to think it involves training a team of muscular sled dogs for the Iditarod or visiting Kiloran island off the coast of Scotland. I suspect that he will return to us when he can. All the best wishes for you, oh, mighty Klondike.

That's the gifted Helen Walker, (Nightmare Alley, Brewster's Millions, Murder, He Says, Impact, The Big Combo) as she appeared as the slightly jaded "Betty Cream" in Lubitsch's Cluny Brown. She's a favorite of mine.

Btw, I've received a missive from the Klonster. He appreciates the good wishes and will let us know how much when he's back online (hopefully soon).

Moira, Please give my regards to Klondike.

Re. Helen Walker I have seen her in both "Nightmare Alley" (1947) and "Murder He Says" (1945) and she was very good in both films. I did not recognize her on your avatar.

And a big "Yo" (however, that translates into Gaelic) to the Klon-meister.

Many happy returns of the day, wherever you are. Today I'll wear my scarf and think of you.

WOW!
Hard to believe I've been back over 2 weeks, and til now, never reminded myself to stop by over here and say:

T H A N K S !

I really did hustle right over here when I first returned, and lapped up these tasty sentiments, which somehow rendered some peculiarly salty leakage on my old mid-muzzle.

And hey, Wendy, what's up with that delicious pic?
Are you trying to flirt with me?
