Dear Johnm,
What a great thread idea! Unfortunately, I can't name that tune in 32 bars...
It reminds me of something from the mid-60's, but I really have no clue.

Don't quit now! Although this one is too tough, the concept is good... even if we just get to listen to some really good music.

Oh, no! Don't give up on this! It's a great idea. Unfortunately, I've been a pretty dim bulb about it. I can't think of anything. But don't give it away just yet.

Yes, Dewey is correct! The track is from the score of Don't Look Now, based on the story by Daphne Du Maurier, by one of my favorite film composers, Pino Donaggio!

Okay, here's another that should be a quite a bit easier:

Dewey, please add your own mystery score, if you'd like!
I just heard this little tune and its the same music used in The Haley Mills Movie Trouble With Angels, as well .

Inglis, I don't quite understand what you mean by the above statement, when you say "as well"; but, you are correct about the music. It is from Jerry Goldsmith's score to The Trouble With Angels.[/quote] Hi John I am sorry I had thought somebody else had given an answer already to another movie .Thats why I said as well .I may have not read the question properly . Sorry for the mix up

I wouldn't say it's not popular, John. I enjoy it... I'm just not good at it.

Keep it going and maybe I'll finally find one I recognize.
