State Of Origin
Do we have any football fans out there? Next Wednesday at 8:00 pm (Eastern Australian Standard Time) we have the second round of this years “State of Origin “ rugby league.
State of Origin is a competition between New South Wales and Queensland. Three games are played each year. Queensland has won for the last five years, and is leading this year, having won round one.
Players are selected from clubs in Australian Rugby League and are chosen according to where they played there first game. Thus a player who is currently playing for (say) Melbourne (or a Sydney team or in New Zealand) may still be selected to play for Queensland.
Rugby league is based on rugby as is American grid iron, one difference being players in rugby league don`t get dressed up like grid iron players.
The game is sent around the world via Fox Sports. It should not be hard for potential spectators to check local times.
This is as good as Rugby league gets.
