Robert Anderson, who wrote the screenplay for The Nun's Story, said they had hopes for some Oscars, but they got nun. It was the year of Ben-Hur.

I made a comment about it over in the I Just Watched thread, but to reiterate in part what I said over there, I loved Tina Turner, I thought she was a great singer, but I was left baffled by her getting the last spot of honor in the in memorium at a movie awards ceremony, given that she only appeared in a handful of films, and only had a substantial part in one of them.....

Plus three former nominees: Don Murray, Burt Young, and Michael Lerner were reduced to just type mention on a screen that the TV audience could not even read. Ugh.
