I have to join in to say Happy Birthday to the wonderful Audrey Totter. She, like the other birthday girl, Mala Powers
seem to have been forgotten, all but the few of us on this group.

Also, I have to agree with those who say about Crawford, Stanwyck, Russell, Garson, Oberon, even though they have been gone for a long time, they still remain STARS.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to each and everyone.

The last I heard was that Audrey is living at the Motion Picture and Television Hospital, Woodland Hills, California. If you'd like, write her in care of the facility. I'm sure she would love to hear from her fans.

Thanks to you all for your interest in the great movie stars, and your comments involving my work on the thread. I can't believe that we are on page 700 of this thread.
MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL OF YOU!

It's all thanks to you Joe, I can't believe how fast you can find images like the ones Larry has described. All the ladies look wonderful and glamourous but the lovely Merle looks no older than she did in her heyday.

Merry Christmas everyone :D

Piper Laurie adores her kittens.
When I stare at the kitten in Piper's left hand I see the face of a rabbit and a monkey
(no kidding).

AM at home in Beverly Hills 1959, posing with the harp inherited from Sigmund Romberg's estate.
I ask myself, who would have been permitted to photograph her by early morning light, wearing a revealing negligee. . . .

Oh lovely Yvonne - Canadian born, to boot. She set up Burt Lancaster to later set up housekeeping with Fred Gwynne.

No Joe, we lucky members of SSO owe YOU the big thanks. Wow, the stuff you come up with!! Merry, Merry Christmas to you and all of my wonderful friends on this site. Talk about a lucky discovery. Can't wait to see what's in store for 2013!

Hey Joe, perhaps the biggest laugh is TCM's lineup of Friday flicks - all with an end of the world bent. Well, should the worst happen, at least we'll all go out with a bang -- and for myself a bang and a beer.
