Happy birthday to Miss Crowley. Another ageless beauty on whom I've had a huge crush . . . well, forever.

Dolores Costello was so pretty! I was sad when I read that her film career was ruined because her complexion was so badly damaged by early makeup that it couldnt even be camouflaged. (If we can believe what we read on the internet  )

What a classic image, Joe. I've never seen Hitch smile like that!

If I remember that event correctly, Hitch looked old and feeble and dour and kind of out of it that night. Nice to see that he was having a good time.

Stone, I believe the event was a year before Hitch left us, and get a load of Cary Grant. We'lll never see the likes of them again.

You are so right, Joe. Funny thing, I was suffering from one of my frequent bouts of insomnia last night and got to thinking about "old Hollywood". Boy, there's nothing IMO that comes close to the magic of yesteryear. And those new photos you posted help prove it.

At least we were lucky to be there to see the very best, Stone. Sorry about your insomnia, my wife has the same condition.
