The only two COLOR Photographs that I have of her in her home in LAKE TAHOE ... pictures taken in 1951. She loved that place and most of her happiest days at this place rowing boats, taking walks with her girls, and most of all gives her a chance to recover the sadness of her 3rd marriage to Prince Khan.

I have been to LAKE TAHOE and I seen her home on a tour there and its quite breathtaking place; unfortuantely l left my camera at my hotel room and I regretted not being able to take a picture of it back in the early 90's. Spent a half hour walking around her place and admiring the beauty of it.

On our tour ... we weren't allowed to enter the home ... but the owners gave us permission to walk around the place and proceed from there. Rita sure picked a great place there and its was a surreal experience to walk on the ground of where Rita once roamed. I will never forget that.

Panstik or Pancake were the must have items of any actress's make-up case. They are still sold today, unfortunately not in the US. There is a lovely two page ad of Rita selling Max Factor's lipstick. Someday I will own a copy of it.

Got the Colorized Photo from e-bay when its first started back in 1995, according to my records I got it about 3 months when its first opened up and paid $3.00 that includes shipping/handling.

The original photograph on top is from my many visits to Vancouver B.C. of where I often shop at various bookstores of which they surprisingly have hundreds and hundreds of photos for sale there. Bookstores from 1980's to 2000's are a good source of celebritiies photographs and I spent a lot of time there and get about 2-3 dozens photographs a year from them.
