I wonder what Phillip Terry was like? He's someone I've always been glad to meet in a movie.

I imagine Philip Terry as a likeable, laid back, kind of guy.

My very good friend Coleen Gray (who acted with Terry in "The Leech Woman") said he was a very nice working companion - dependable and professional but kind of like Jeff Morrow, with whom she also appeared in a Western (the name which now eludes me), who took his work very seriously and was not particularly known for off-set socializing. She also said "The Leech Woman" was a blast to make.

What a picture, you really dig out some surprising pictures, Joe, it's always a pleasure to look at this thread, it's like opening a present everyday.

What a magnificent shot, Joe! Was that not part of the Hollywood Victory Tour?

Now anyone argue with me that those were not the days of the true celebrities.

I've become so disenchanted with contemporary Hollywood that for the first time in all the years I've watched the Oscars telecast I actually fell asleep before the major awards were announced.

I hope it was my boredom . . . and not my advancing age!!

Stone, I don't believe that all the stars pictured were part of the Victory Tour.
I also watched the Oscars and although the show had it's moments, it didn't compare to the shows of the 1960's, '70s and 80's when we saw many of the STARS of the Golden Age.
I did manage to stay up to the bitter end, and i believe I'm older than you.

Thanks Joe. Recognize many of them from that famous tour but I don't seem to recall, for instance, Desi Arnaz being part of it.

Glad to think maybe my falling off during the Oscars was due to boredom and not my advancing age. I really found it a yawner. Even the Tribute section seemed to be lacking. TCM did it much better, IMO.
