Hey Dewey, thank you for the tribute to JG and CA. Yep, online friends end up calling me PT, which is A-OK by me.

I've had the good fortune to see Aznavour in concert several times during the 1980s and '90s, but sadly never Garland, who passed away when I was eight years old. But I have her whole TV series from 1963-64 on DVD, which must be the next best thing.

played together and with other Chicagoans their age. They soon became
known in jazz circles as…The Austin High Gang.

Well, well, well. I suppose I shouldn’t be too surprised to learn that the
phenomenal genius that was and always will be TIMOTHY CAREY was
born in the great sign of Pisces! DJ Nancy asked for a dirge to honor
the Man’s birthday and I suppose this will have to do: a bizarre scene
from the epic POOR WHITE TRASH, which starts with TC doing a dance
to the music that could only be going on in his own head, culminating with
a bit of cinematic weirdness that more or less speaks for itself…
