Post by stuart.uk »

Gerry Anderson the man that created the iconic adventure puppet series Thunderbirds and its 2 movie spin-offs has died. His other puppet creations include Fireball XL5, Stingray and Captain Scarlett. His ex-wife Sylvia provided the voice of Venus in XLF and Lady Penelope in Thunderbirds. Shane Rimmer (The Spy Who Loved Me) was Scott Tracy in Thunderbirds and Bond girl Lois Maxwell was Atlanta Shore in Stingray.

Gerry also worked without puppets, producing UFO with Ed Bishop, Space 1999 with Martin Landou and Barbara Bain and Robert Vaughns The Protectors

I don't why I never crossed paths with T-birds. I liked "Fireball" and "Stingray" as a youngster. Heard about the other. Just never saw it.
