Frank Thornton, who played Captain Peacock in Are You Being Served and Truly in Last Of The Summer Wine has died

It should be noted that Mr. Thornton lived until the great age of 92.

He is one of my favorites on Are You Being Served ... and I seen that show in entirity and in reruns and he made it truly special. It is one of my favorite British Comedies ... Frank's expressions and excellent speech (being deaf/hard of hearing) brought great joy in my life. I still watch it on my Public Television back home on Friday Nights.

Funnily enough Frank's co-star from The Last Of The Summer Wine, Peter Sallis, who also voiced Grommit in the Oscar winning Wallace and Grommit short films, is still alive at 92
